Corrado and Concetta

Corrado and Concetta live on Monte Amiata in southern Tuscany, in a house he built himself to be nearer the road than his remote birthplace a kilometre up the mountain. Corrado, now in his eighties, has worked on the land all his life, apart from a brief spell of military service. Concetta is from Calabria. They live between the villages of Seggiano and Castel del Piano.
